Prie psichinių sutrikimų skiriama haliucinacija (nesamų daiktų, reiškinių suvokimas), amnezija ir jos rūšys (hipomnezija – atminties susilpnėjimas, hipermnezija – atminties sustiprėjimas), įkyrios idėjos, emocijų išblėsimas, labilumas, hiper- ir hipobolija (padidėjęs ar sumažėjęs aktyvumas ir kt.), psichinės būsenos (manija, depresija, paranoja ir kt.), poreikiai ir potraukiai (nepasotinamas alkis (bulimija) ar troškulys (polidipsija), seksualiniai iškrypimai.
